The Deadwoods are a softball team based in an Albuquerque, NM. In 2008 we will be in our 20th season in the Sandia Labs Softball Association (SLSA - click here) slowpitch softball league. The Deadwoods are a team of many traditions and unique characters. This web site was created for our players, fans and former players, many of whom span the globe. NEWS FLASH!!

5/5/08 - Woods pull plug on CCU

a slug fest for the Deadwoods - possibly a record 29 runs. After a scoreless 2 innings, Deadwoods start warming up with 5 run 3rd, then light it up for 23 in the 4th! Nice HR by rookie Daryl and 2 count them 2 in-the-park HR for Outhouse! Excellent guac by Rookie Daryl too.... Amazing triple by Snoopy? Speedo? Bunt? (what will stick?)

4/28/08 - Woods knock sense out of Desperados, crunch Tacos in double header

A solid outing with HR by Magic and rookie Daryl, Deadwoods keep lead in 17-11 win. Then its on to the (arch rival?) Tacos. Again Woods keep lead and have a killer 5th inning topped off with a GRAND SLAM by Magic. Nice post game BBQ to practice for Fan Appreciation Night (stay tuned for date) - nice grilling master chef Root!

4/21/08 - Woods squeak by Rats, then sack Baggers in opening day double header

In an extra-inner nail-biter defensive battle with the Rats, Woods use home-field advantage for 11-10 win. Woods then work over Baggers with Dom getting a nice in-the-park GRAND SLAM!
